23rd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MEDICAL IMAGE
COMPUTING & COMPUTER ASSISTED INTERVENTION
4-8 OCTOBER 2020

CALL FOR SATELLITE EVENTS

Call for satellite events deadline extended to December 9th midnight GMT-5.

Satellite events have become essential components of MICCAI conferences, particularly as the field has undergone steady growth and has expanded into a diverse set of areas. They attract a large number of participants, offering opportunities to both the organizers and the attendees.

We invite to submit proposal for satellite events to be part MICCAI 2020 at the Lima Convention Center, Lima, Peru, next October 4th and October 8th.

Topics:

We encourage the submission of satellite event proposals that not only bring diversity to the spectrum of topics discussed at the main conference but also on important topics where focalized attention is needed to move a specific topic further and closer to clinical use.

Submission procedure:

Submission of proposals will be performed via the corresponding CMT platforms for workshops and tutorials, and through the challenge submission website

Evaluation Criteria:

Proposals for satellite events will be evaluated by the respective evaluation committee boards organized by the workshops, tutorials and challenges chairs. Please check the workshop/tutorial/challenge websites for further information about the respective selection criteria.

Equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) are essential to MICCAI excellence. An open and diverse community fosters the inclusion of voices that have been underrepresented or discouraged. We encourage submissions from members of groups that have been marginalized on any grounds. We ask organizers of potential satellite events to explicitly state how EDI aspects are promoted for their proposed satellite event.

Furthermore, MICCAI 2020 wants to align to the principles of fairness, accessibility, sustainability and responsibility, and encourages satellite events applications that promote the discussion of emerging developments within the spectrum of activities represented by MICCAI, evaluating and discussing their potential, performance, feasibility, responsibility, accessibility, safety, sustainability and fairness, while comparing with current standards.

Important dates:
